The Clinic
Going to and being in new places can be challenging, particularly for Autistic individuals and people experiencing anxiety, agoraphobia and similar conditions.
At Hamers Edge, we have designed our clinic space with our participants in mind. It is not an institutionalised, cold, or uncomfortable setting but a welcoming environment where sensory needs are accepted, respected, and catered for.

> We have a range of coffees, teas, hot chocolate, water and soft drinks available, which is always on offer.
> LED Ceiling Lights rather than Fluorescent.
> Fidgets and doodling tools available at all times.
Our clinic is on the ground floor of the Stafford Court complex, located at 8-12 Stafford Street, Midland, WA 6056.
There is 2hr free parking in front of the building, or longer-term paid parking across the road.
Please note that Google Maps may take you to the Centrelink/Medicare building on Keane St. This street is parallel to Stafford Street, so you just need to go around the corner twice.
When entering the double sliding doors of the Stafford Court Building, you will see the bright purple windows of Hamers Edge straight ahead. This is where you enter the reception area, where your clinician will greet you.
Please note that the clinic is open by appointment only.
The clinic room is a tranquil space with comfortable 1-seater and 3-seater couches and a coffee table. Floor lamps are also present in case the ceiling lights are too bright.
This space is great for general talk-based sessions.
The sensory room is a calming space with two comfy swivel chairs, a giant foam beanbag, a softer-than-soft rug, and dimmable mood lighting. Two LED' windows' brighten the room and provide a great view.
This space is excellent for participants with more prominent sensory needs.
The meeting room has a large table and six office chairs. The large wall mural, which is also reflected in the mirrors on the opposite wall, makes the room feel relaxed.
This space is perfect for meetings with several people or participant sessions that require a table to work at.
